What's in a Heat Safety Check?
During a heat safety check with Morris-Jenkins, we’ll:
- Inspect high voltage wires that could be fire risks
- Test for carbon monoxide in the home
- Conduct a visual inspection of the heating system for anything that could lead to a gas leak or fire
- Test all safety switches
- Clean the system so dust and debris don’t cause a fire
- Look for any animals like mice that could have moved into your ductwork or equipment, causing damage
- Check your carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. If you have batteries on hand, we’ll go ahead and change those out too.
