We keep our trucks fully stocked, so we can test your water right then and there—no need to schedule another appointment.
You’ll always know the price of your water test before any work begins.
We’re here ’til midnight and available on weekends, too.
For a while, water testing was just something people with well water had to do. But it can still be a good idea, no matter where your water comes from! That’s because some things, while not really harmful to your health, can be bad for your pipes, appliances, and even your skin! Some of these things can even make your water taste bad. We can test your water if you notice some of these signs:
We’re gonna test for a few things when you call us. We’ll test chlorine levels, water hardness, the pH level, and iron levels. Most water will have a little bit of chlorine. It’s there to keep things away that you really don’t want swimming in your drinking glass. Chlorine will kill bacteria, viruses, and parasites and isn’t really harmful in very small quantities. But too much of it isn’t a good thing either. Even if you use a water filter for your drinking water, your body absorbs most chlorine from taking showers.
Hard water has a lot of calcium, magnesium, and other minerals. These things aren’t bad (in fact, your body needs them), but too much in your water is gonna cause those annoying stains on your faucets and clothes. We’ll test for water hardness, and we’ll also run a test for iron.
If your water is sour, there might be something off with the pH level. A pH level that’s too high or too low is gonna cause problems. Too low and it’ll taste bad and eat away at your pipes. Too high and your water is gonna trickle slower out of your pipes and put a build-up of crust on your fixtures.
If you schedule us for any plumbing diagnostic or repair, we can provide a basic water test for FREE while we’re there! This test examines your chlorine levels and a couple of other basic components. If you need a more precise and thorough analysis, we have other alternatives. Our photometer test examines the ten most common parameters of water quality. We’ll take a sample of your water and analyze it using our in-office lab equipment. Then, we can follow up with you the next day to explain the results and answer any questions about methods to improve your water quality. But, that’s not all! Our Priority Advantage Members receive this service (typically priced at $149) for FREE! And as a member, we’ll bring our lab equipment to you, ensuring that you receive your results on the same day.
If something is wrong with your water, there’ll be something you can do, and we’ll know just what to recommend. You might have to get a water softener to take care of the minerals in the water. High or low pH levels can be fixed with a special tank that your water passes through before coming out of your faucets. After the tests, we’re not gonna throw a bunch of technical terms at you. We’ll just tell you the next step and help you get there.
If the problem with your water was around for a long time, your pipes and fixtures might need some help, too. We can replace anything that’s corroded from a low pH level, and we can install brand new faucets if you want.
