If you had to list the things you can’t do without, a toilet would probably be at the top of the list. On the other hand, most of us don’t even think about the toilet until it stops working. Then, panic sets in. You need to find someone who does toilet repairs right away! Of course, it helps to know exactly what problems you might run into.
You flush the toilet, and you hear the water running. That’s fine and all… until it doesn’t stop. A worn-out flapper or a fill valve that doesn’t shut off may be causing your running toilet. No matter what, it’s a real problem. Did you know a running toilet can waste more than 200 gallons in a single day? Nobody can afford a water bill like that! If this is something you’re dealing with, call us right away. We’ve done tons of these toilet repairs and can get the job done quickly.
Clogs happen. Usually, it’s a one-time mess you handle yourself, armed with a mop and plunger. However, if you find yourself plunging the toilet daily, there’s something else going on. You could have a blockage in your mainline or another bigger problem. That’s going to take specialized equipment for a permanent fix.
Also, be on the lookout for water and sewage bubbling up into your tub or shower. That’s a sure sign that you have a severe clog!
What do you do when you notice water pooling around the outside of your toilet? You might have a leaky water line going into your toilet! You can check that by turning off the water to the toilet.
Sometimes, leaks come from a crack in the porcelain bowl itself. Or else, you might have a worn-out wax ring. That’s the part that seals your toilet to the floor to keep things watertight. If that wears out, your toilet will leak every time you flush.
When you need toilet repairs, you don’t have time to spare. That’s why our team is always ready to spring into action.
Have you ever debated whether you should repair or replace your toilet? We can help you with that decision! Your plumber will do a thorough inspection and let you know what your options are. In some cases, especially with older toilets, a replacement can save you plenty of trouble in the future.
We get it! You wanna try to fix the problem before you call a plumber. There are a few things you can try to take care of some minor problems. We’ve got some tips for DIY toilet repairs!
Sometimes, toilets run because of a floating arm, a failing lift, or a snagged chain. Flush the toilet and lift the float as the tank fills up. That should shut off the fill valve. Likewise, you can manually untangle the chain to get the flapper to lay flat. This should fix things. If it doesn’t, or you have the same problem over and over, give us a call and let us help.
Then again, you could have a worn flapper or flush valve seal. Try putting a few drops of food coloring in the tank. If there’s a leak, that color will leach into the bowl. If that happens, you need to call a pro.
