You’ll always know the price of your water quality test before any work begins.
We’re here ’til midnight and available on weekends, too.
The basic water quality testing we do covers some of the most common elements found in your pipes. A big factor in plumbing is water hardness, which comes from high levels of minerals like calcium and magnesium. This isn’t much of a problem in Huntersville, but it may be an issue, depending on your neighborhood.
If your skin and hair feel dry, or if you’ve been finding stains on your dishes and clothes, you likely have hard water. Luckily, Morris-Jenkins can help you know for certain!
Every liquid in the world falls on what’s called a pH scale, which measures whether it’s more acidic or basic. A liquid like lemon juice has a lower pH, meaning it’s acidic. Something like bleach is basic, meaning it’s higher on the scale. Water should be right in the middle of this spectrum一a solid seven, which means neither acidic nor basic.
If your water has a lower pH, it’ll taste sour and eventually start to eat at your pipes. If the pH is higher, it’ll weaken the water flow and cause a scaly build-up on your fixtures. With water quality testing, you can find out for sure if your pH is out of whack and what you need to do to get it back to where it should be!
Iron in your water isn’t necessarily harmful to consume or come into contact with. It is, however, a lot of trouble to deal with on a daily basis. You’ll taste it in your water, and it may stain your clothes and the exterior of your plumbing fixtures.
Overall, it’s worth finding your water’s iron levels now through water quality testing so you can take care of it sooner rather than later.
Whenever you have us out for plumbing repairs, we can do a basic water test for FREE! This test examines your chlorine levels and a few other fundamental factors. Want something more precise? The most common ten parameters that influence water quality can be evaluated by our photometer testing. We’ll get a sample of your water and examine it in our in-office laboratory equipment. We can then follow up with you the following day to explain the results and answer any questions about enhancing your water quality. But, here’s the best part: Our Priority Advantage Members get this service, which usually costs $149, for FREE! And when you’re a member, we’ll bring our lab equipment to you, so you’ll see the results on the very same day.
