We keep our trucks fully stocked, so we can test your water quality then and there—no need to schedule another appointment.
You’ll always know the price of your water quality test before any work begins.
We’re here ’til midnight and available on weekends, too.
If your water isn’t making you sick, you might wonder if it’s worth the time to have your water tested. We think it is! We make appointments fast and easy and our basic tests are free with any plumbing diagnostic. It’s not a big commitment on your part, but it can give you a lot of good information.
It’s even more important to call if you’ve been noticing signs of poor quality water such as a sour or bitter taste, hard water stains, and water that smells like chlorine. We can solve those problems so you don’t have to drink bottled water or scrub water stains anymore.
Our basic test will check for mineral levels, chlorine levels, and pH levels. If you want other things tested, too, just ask! Here is what we look for with our basic free test:
Iron and Other Minerals
One of the most common problems is hard water. Minerals can cause lots of issues by clogging up pipes, leaving residue behind, and even staining clothes. If you’re seeing white stains on your dark clothes, yellow stains on your white t-shirts, and lots of build-up on your fixtures, you probably have hard water. We’ll test for it with our water quality testing in Rock Hill.
Chlorine
Before your city water gets to your house, it’s treated with chlorine. That’s so that you don’t get little visitors in your water like parasites or bacteria. While we can give chlorine the credit that it’s due for getting the water clean, you don’t want too much of it in your tap water. It can cause health problems by getting into the steam from your shower and sneaking in through your pores during a bath. If you’re coughing after taking a shower or your skin is irritated, it might be from extra chlorine.
pH
If your teacher in school ever made you test different liquids for the pH levels, you might know a little bit about how our tests work. Water can either be acidic or basic. When we test your water, we want it to be more neutral and not have a pH that’s too high or too low. Acidic water tastes sour and can eat away at your pipes. Basic water tastes bitter and can cause your pipes to become clogged or have low water pressure.
If you want something more accurate and in-depth, we’ve got other options, too! There are about ten different parameters that most commonly impact your water quality. And our photometer testing can check all of that in depth! We’ll take a sample of your water and test it with our in-office lab equipment. Then, we can follow up with you the next day to explain the results and answer any questions about things you can do to improve your water quality. But wait– it gets even better! Our Priority Advantage Members get this service (normally $149) for FREE! And when you’re a member, we’ll take our lab equipment to you, that way you get your results the very same day.Â
The photometer water quality test is perfect for just about any home, but if you have major concerns about the safety of your water, we do offer an option that tests for 87 different parameters. Just call, text, or message us online to figure out which test is right for you!
Once we get your results for you, you’ll be interested to know what we can do to help improve your water. If you have too much chlorine in your water, you’ll want a whole home water purification system that’ll get rid of the chlorine before you use it for showers, baths, or drinking.
There are special filters and injectors that work well to neutralize your water if the pH is too low or too high. Water that has too many minerals can be treated with a special filter called a water softener.
We’ve been around since 1958 and we’ve always been known for doing what’s right for every family we work with. Just like you don’t want a doctor taking shortcuts with a surgery, we don’t wanna take shortcuts with your plumbing. Your family deserves the best water possible!
