Everything in your plumbing system is connected. So when you get a clog in one area, it can cause drain problems throughout the house. There are plumbing lines that go to each of your sinks, tubs, and toilets. These all connect to the mainline, which takes everything away from your home. When you get a clog in one of the drain lines, it’s usually easier to fix. But once the clog gets to the mainline, it can start to cause bigger problems.
If your clog has reached the mainline, you might notice a few signs such as:
There are different types of clogs, and some of them are more serious than others. Sometimes a little hair can collect just a few inches away from the drain opening in your bathroom sink. That type of clog will just affect that one sink. Once you get rid of it, everything will work perfectly again. But if a grease clog has formed in your mainline or there is a tree root growing into a section of piping, it can suddenly become a different drain clogging problem.
For less serious clogged drains, you can keep a plunger on hand to quickly get rid of them. This can easily be done at home. There are even special plungers that you can use on your kitchen or bathroom sinks. If you can see the hair clog hanging out a few inches down, you can even use one of the disposable snakes that you can buy at the hardware store. But problems beyond that should only be taken care of by a plumber. If the clog is in your mainline, a liquid drain cleaner won’t do much good and it might even damage your pipes in the process.
Even the tricky clogs are a breeze for us! We have the type of tools that you can’t just pick up from your local grocery store, and they’re easy on your pipes. For slow drains, we’ll use one of two methods: drain cabling and hydro jetting. When you call us for clogged drains, we’ll take a look at the problem and then involve you in the decision-making process. If you have a normal clog that’s made from food, hair, or small roots, and it’s less than 75 feet into your plumbing, we can get it out for just $77 using our plumbing-grade snakes. Most clogs fall into this category, so unless you have more serious drain clogging problems, that’s probably what we’ll recommend.
For trickier clogs, we have another plan! Grease clogs can be a little tougher to get with a snake. But they’re no match for our hydro jetting technology. High-pressured water can work on up to 100% of all of the gunk that’s been stubbornly hiding out in your backed up drains, causing odors and clogs. It is a good way to clean out stubborn tree roots and deeper clogs.
You might notice something a little different about us when you first call. You’ll feel like a VIP from the moment we pick up the phone. We’re all local and we wanna make your day by being friendly and helpful. We won’t talk down to you by using complicated plumbing words and we’ll only give you advice that we think will help you.
If you have backed up drains and you can’t fix the problem by yourself, it’s time to call us! We’ll clear your slow drains and make them work like new again. Give us a call or a text today for more information about our Waxhaw services.
