Most of the time drains work great. They drain quickly and they don’t have a bad odor. But they can also be a perfect place for bacteria to grow and for food and hair to get caught. If you have older pipes, clogs can happen even faster because debris can easily collect on pipes that are starting to corrode.
One of the first signs you might need drain clearing services is pipes that are starting to smell bad. Black sludge loves to collect on pipes, giving your bathroom or kitchen a bad odor. While some DIY methods like baking soda and lemon juice can help a little, sometimes the only way to get rid of the sludge is to call a plumber (that’s us!).
