Most of the time drains work great. They drain quickly and they don’t have a bad odor. But they can also be a perfect place for bacteria to grow and for food and hair to get caught. One of the first signs you might need drain clearing services is pipes that are starting to smell bad. Black sludge loves to collect on pipes, giving your bathroom or kitchen a bad odor.
