We’re gonna guess that you’re not attached enough to your water heater to check on it every day. While a daily check might be a lot, checking on it every once in a while definitely wouldn’t be a bad idea. Sometimes you can find problems with a quick visual check that you wouldn’t find otherwise. You’ll be able to see if there are any leaks or if the tank is making any strange noises.
Most of the other signs of a faulty water heater will show up in other ways. You could notice that any time you turn on your hot water, the water pressure is lower. That may be a sign that you have mineral buildup somewhere in your water heater. You might also notice orange water which is usually from a rusted tank. Of course, if you ever have a lack of hot water, you should call right away for a tank water heater repair. There’s probably a problem with the burner.
