Signs That You Need a Water Heater Repair
Water heater problems aren’t gonna come with a bright orange sign and trumpet fanfare. Usually, you have to rely on smaller hints to let you know something’s wrong. If you’re here checking out our services, there’s a good chance you’ve noticed one or two of these already:
- Water that’s not hot enough: Sometimes the thermostat control can get bumped accidentally to a temperature that’s hotter or cooler than what you want. Check to make sure it’s somewhere around 120℉. If it’s set at the right temperature but your water heater isn’t keeping up, that’s when you’ll probably need a repair.
- Odd noises: Mineral build-up on the bottom of your tank can cause your water heater to make banging, popping, and crackling noises. You’ll need to have your water heater flushed out every year to make sure you don’t have those issues anymore.
- Pooling water: If you see water anywhere near your water heater, that means there’s probably a leak. Hopefully, it’s just a loose connection so we can fix it in a jiffy. If it’s from corrosion or a crack in your tank, we might have to put in a new one.
- Low water pressure: When minerals build up in the pipes leading from the water heater, water can’t move as quickly to your faucets. We can fix the problem and get your water pressure back to normal.
