Morris-Jenkins LOVES the Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH)! Every year, we raise money for LCH to help make hospital stays less scary for kids. Whether it’s helping them celebrate the end of treatment with giant cards and banners, or refurbishing their playground, we love supporting the children’s hospital!
Golf Tournament
We hosted our first ever golf tournament in September 2023! Employees and their friends and family came out to play golf and raise money for the children’s hospital. There were prizes for things like longest putt, closest to the pin, 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place, and we even had gift basket raffles. By the end of the day, we had raised $44,000 just from the golf tournament alone! It was such a success, we’re gonna do it again in 2024!
Raffle
Some of our vendors donated some really cool prizes for our raffle! Employees were able to buy raffle tickets for a dollar each for their chance to win. This raffle was a big hit, and people in every department participated! Through the raffle alone, we raised over $9,000.
Bingo Night
Morris-Jenkins LOVES families! We hosted a family-friendly bingo night for some of our employees for the first time ever. People of all ages came and had a great time playing bingo together. When we were done, some people went home with great prizes, and we raised over a thousand dollars for Levine Children’s Hospital!
Employee Yard Sale
Over the years, we’ve collected all kinds of random things for events, commercial shoots, and more. Instead of letting these old items sit around and collect dust, we held a yard sale for employees! We sold some old furniture and office decorations, costumes, party supplies, and other stuff we didn’t need any more. Employees were able to swing by the sale throughout the week to shop around, and any money we made was put toward our annual LCH donation. Through this sale, we raised over a thousand dollars and cleaned out our storage!
Poker Night
Early in 2023, we hosted a poker night for employees. It was a fun group that had a great time playing poker for a chance to win prizes donated by our vendors. All the proceeds from the evening went to the children’s hospital, and by the end of the night, we had raised over $4,000!
Payroll Deductions
For years, employees at Morris-Jenkins have had the option to deduct some of their weekly pay for Levine Children’s Hospital. A lot of our employees have set this up so they contribute to the hospital every week in the easiest way possible. They’re able to set whatever amount they’d like to donate and change it at any time. It’s a great way to be consistent with giving so we can always work toward making a difference!
Super Bowl Squares
For Super Bowl LVII, we decided to have a little extra fun watching the Chiefs Vs the Eagles by playing Super Bowl Squares! Some of the biggest football fans at Morris-Jenkins picked their squares and placed their bets. After the Super Bowl, $1,875 went to Levine Children’s Hospital!
Forks and Spoons
We love looking for new little ways we can earn money for LCH. This year, we added fork and spoon dispensers in the employee break room. We didn’t set any kind of price on them, but we put a donation box beside them asking employees to donate anything they can toward the children’s hospital in exchange for a fork or spoon whenever they need one for lunch. Lots of employees loved the addition, and you could see the donation box fill over time!
Morris-Jenkins Store
People love Morris-Jenkins merch, and our employees are no exception! To help raise a bit of extra money for LCH, we set up an online store for employees. We’ve got things like Mr. Jenkins bobbleheads, Morris-Jenkins blankets, shirts, cups, and more. And all the profit goes directly toward Levine Children’s Hospital!

We’re lucky to live in Charlotte! Levine Children’s Hospital is AMAZING, and it’s right in our backyard! A lot of our employees have had firsthand experience with LCH with their own children and can attest to how much the staff there truly cares for children and families. Whenever we hear a child is being treated at LCH, we breathe a sigh of relief because we know they’re in the BEST care.
This year, Morris-Jenkins raised $111,072.12 for the children’s hospital. We can’t wait to see how we can help them next year!
