Paid Training

You’re competitive. You know with the proper training, you could grow to be the best at anything. But you don’t wanna do just anything.

You want a job that keeps you out of a boring corporate office. A job that pays well. A job that lets you make a difference.

And you found it.

As a Tech Builder, you’ll go through 10 weeks of intensive PAID training before we offer you a job as a full-time technician.

You read that right. Paid training! We don’t want you to worry about how you’re gonna pay your bills during class—we want you to be able to focus on your studies.

Speaking of paying bills, Morris-Jenkins pays far better than most companies. After your training, we’ll start paying you even more. Many of our Tech Builder graduates are now making more than $100k a year.

You’ll get a company vehicle, gas card, free uniforms, and a free laundry service. Not to mention, generous PTO and all the usual insurance plans. You’ll be taken care of here. After all, when we take great care of you, you’ll take great care of our customers. Everyone wins!

Your Day-to-Day

During Tech Builder training, you’ll participate in classroom training by the best trainers around, you’ll learn in our state-of-the-art lab, and you’ll gain first-hand experience in the field with a current technician. We want you to know your stuff by the time you graduate, that way you’re comfortable going out on calls and taking care of people! But even when you come across an HVAC puzzle you can’t solve on your own, you’ll have a whole team of experienced technicians behind you to walk you through it.

Once you graduate class, you’ll start helping people with their HVAC problems, including fixing and maintaining heat pumps, gas systems, and air conditioning units. You’ll be a HERO in no time!

You don’t mind crawlspaces, ladders, snakes, spiders, and the occasional awkward confrontation with customers (you’re good with people anyways).

Every day as a technician is different. Every customer is different, and every call will have its own challenges. You’ll never be bored at work!

When you go above and beyond, we bring attention to your good deeds during the weekly meetings. We even have an annual banquet with awards for top performers!

Throughout the year, you’ll enjoy company breakfasts that are gigantorious (we’re making that word up. “Giant” doesn’t do them justice). You can smell the bacon from the parking lot. And every winter, we have an ugly Christmas sweater breakfast that has turned into a full-on costume contest over the years. You’re gonna have fun here!
